Complete system for PET preforms processing aimed at make-up bottles production.
End-of-Arm tool of the side entry robot Snap SP, with its heavy payload capacity, is designed for picking preforms from the moulding machine (32 or 48 cavities) and cooling them.
This special End-of-Arm device is designed to cool preforms off and, together with its hydraulic actuators, has a weight of approximately 120kg.
This configuration allows PET cooling in two moulding production cycles.
Subsequently, the articulated robot picks the moulded pieces for the following operations: flame treatment for sprues removal, PET dipping into the water-wax emulsion container (for anti-scratch surface coating) and final warm-air drying.
All these devices are provided by Dal Maschio company, and they are connected with the robot.
Safety guards, beside their safety function, are also positioned around the robot to allow the correct conditioning of the preforms.
At the end of the production cycle, the articulated robot places PET pieces on the output conveyor belt.
