Automation for wooden pallet nailing

This plant is not only an end-of-line but also a preparer of the packaging itself, placed at the end of the output line of boxes containing extruded profiles.

The plant is equipped with a vision system that identifies the pallet and selects the racks which are then positioned and nailed by a 6-axis robots.

In fact, the cartesian gantry robot (3) has the task of picking up, from an appropriate warehouse (6) and according to the information received from the bar-code, some wooden frames which, fixed to the pallet, complete the specific packaging for the expected transport.

The wooden frames are fixed by means of automatic nailers, moved by two six-axis robots, (7) (8), one on each side of the long pallet’s feeder roller conveyor (3).

Automation destined to a canadian customer.
